FAQs

Are you a first time player?

We recommend that first time players join our Saturday Skills program for at least one term before registering for a competition team.

Players who have not participated in our Saturday Skills program often struggle to meet the skills of their team mates and may drop out negatively impacting the team and the competition.

When can I pickup my new uniform?

You can try on and collect your new uniform at your team training session in the first week of the season.

If you are unable to attend training in the first week, you can collect it at Saturday Skills between 8am and 10am during the term.

Am I guaranteed a place in a team?

We strive to get every player who registers into a team however the number of teams we can enter is restricted by Gold Coast Basketball.

Players who register early get priority and if we are unable to put you in a team we will provide a full refund.

When is my training session?

Training sessions are at the Varsity College Basketball Stadium on Assembly Drive, Varsity Lakes. Training sessions run for an hour, between 4pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday.

We will assign a training session to your team, once a coach has been assigned and the day/time slot is based on the coach’s availability.

Do I need to purchase a uniform?

All new players need a uniform. You can purchase a uniform in the Shop during the registration process. If you didn’t purchase one during registration, go to the Shop here to purchase one now.

No second hand uniforms can be used.

How can I help out?

Every team needs a coach and manager and you don’t need to be a basketball expert to get involved.

Varsity Vipers is the largest junior basketball club in Queensland thanks to the efforts of volunteers just like you.
