2025/26 summer GCJBL Season

Welcome to the 2025/26 Summer Season of the Gold Coast Junior Basketball League (GCJBL).

The Varsity Vipers are excited to invite new and returning players for our most dynamic and inclusive season yet.

What’s New in 2025/26?

  • Two Equal-Length Seasons: The Summer and Winter seasons will consist of 14 games plus finals.

  • Grading Carnival & Challenge Rounds: Teams will play grading games in the Grading Carnival 10th-12th October. Top-performing teams can challenge a lower-ranked team in the division above in a Challenge Round for a chance to move up before the regular season begins.

  • Player Points System: Division 1 Boys teams will use a Player Points system to ensure more balanced and equitable competition.

  • Age Group Rollover: Since the Summer season consists of Terms 4 and Term 1 of the next year, age eligibility will be based on a players age as at the 31st December 2026.

Uniforms are fitted and collected at any Saturday Skills session (8:00–10:00am) at Varsity College Stadium.
